   it what? one of those files above from one of the sites found? which file?   
      
   with all of the 1.60 and earlier SIO packages, i've never run any install   
   process... i've always extracted them to the directory i wanted them in and   
   then manually adjusted config.sys as needed... vx00 is loaded in the tasks   
   that need it and no others... little things...

   hunh^2?? you couldn't hit ALT-F1 when the white blog came up and then use the   
   option to restore the original or last backup? or even select to get to the   
   command line and edit the config.sys to comment out the SIO lines and   
   uncomment the original ones you were using? then a reboot should have taken   
   you back to where you were to begin with...
