Hm, difficult to describe. Older computers might have USB 1.x only.
The USB 2.0 spec came out in 2000, everything before that obviously
   only had USB 1.x support.
I'd say, the computers of the last 6 or 7 years always have USB 2.0 (and USB
   1.x) support on every port.
Some computers, like mine, have USB 2.0 (and USB 1.x) support but the
USB 2.0 support is broken (as I have a shitty SIS chipset) and therefore
needs to be disabled in BIOS. Therefore I am left with only USB 1.x
(and bought a plugin card with working USB 2.0 support).

The rule is: if your computer says it's "USB 2.0" (and it is not broken)
then ALL ports normally support USB 2.0.
