No, and it would not be reasonable either. Note that the OS/2 bitmap
fonts are not Unicode aware and have only a limited character set.

Well, I ended up using Monospace. You have to tweak with the size a bit.
And it is always a good advice to disable font anti aliasing, because it
makes the small fonts look neat - and blurred! The latter causes
significant eyestrain. Pixel borders do not cause eyestrain, they only
   look not that pretty.
But you should not disable hinting entirely as it will cause the font
   render engine to produce crap.

AFAIK the common window managers do not support bitmap fonts.
   Btw. 25x7 or 15x7?

   More readable than what?

I currently use 11pt Monospace at 108 dpi (1856*1392 screen). This font
will take about 1300 Pixel for 132 columns. Your screen is smaller, so
you need a smaller one. But your display most likely does not have 108
dpi. The default of 96 dpi will shrink about 150 pixel. If you
additionally reduce the size to 9 to 9,5pt you will have about 1000
pixel. But letters like m no longer look very well anymore.

7 Pixel is not enough for a really readable font. I have never gone
below 16*8 for long. Fortunately my display is large enough since the
mid nineties when I quit using XGA.

Windows has some bitmap font, e.g. Fixedsys, but they are deprecated. So
many applications do not allow you to select them anymore. But if you
edit their configuration in the registry it will mostly work.
