   Sorry, no. I had already created a new profile before I saw Rich's msg. I'll   
   try to remember which add-ons I had and re-install.   
   Couldn't it have been caused by plug-ins rather than add-ons? Because the   
   moz_plugin_path points currently to d:\programs\moz_plug, and normally it   
   would be e:\home\mozilla\plugins (due to a motherboard failure I had to   
   quickly move to a new machine which wasn't completely set up yet).
