   Should an HDD run almost too hot to touch? I've been having troubles    
   with a JFS-formatted USB drive that I use for back-up, and this is the    
   only thing so far which I've noticed might be affecting it's    
   performatnce (MAX 120 GB, ATA 133 dated 11-2004, in a ADS USB HDD    
   enclosure). Chkdisk is now stopping with that unrecoverable "M error".    
   Other USB HDDs haven't been having this heating problem.
