I"m not sure what the symptoms are besides that in my experiments with
SMP on Warp it always crashed when I touched the keyboard.
The 2.1 refresh will have the fix. For now the new ACPI available for
"Software Subscription Services" has the fix.
    From the announcement.

In addition, a number of long standing SMP bugs in OS/2 code have been
fixed. The ACPI distribution ships with an updated IBM keyboard driver
and an updated TCPIP32.DLL to correct SMP related defects. The TCPIP32
DLL has proven to make Firefox and Thunderbird much more stable on
   systems running in SMP mode.

The new ACPI seems to work well here, I saw one crash which I didn't
grab the trap screen for unluckily (couldn't find my camera) when the
phone rang. Yes I have a modem hooked up.
