   Indeed, this is my experience (and just confirmed with Lars' 10.178 USB    
   package under eCS 1.2R on a ThinkPad T43) and a brand new SanDisk Cruzer    
   16GB USB 2.0 stick, with a single partition, formatted FAT32 via DFSee.    
   No recognition whatsoever after boot until I remove and reinsert.
