   In my continuing effort to clean up the INI files (OS2 & OS2SYS) I've started
   to
   look at the information visible in the OS2 Registry Editor.

   I see the following listed:

   1) HINI_SYSTEM_PROFILE
   2) HINI_USER_PROFILE
   3) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
   4) HKEY_CURRENT_USER
   5) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
   6) HKEY_USERS

   OK, so #1 & #2 seem to make sense, although I have no idea what the following
   keys represent in HINI_SYSTEM_PROFILE though (but it's just these 3):
   W0WNEW => PORKIE4="Check"
   W8WNEW => GOODPORK="Check"
   WOWNEW => SUP4="Check"

   Strange, but I'll live with it, I suppose.

   #3 still seems OK, as it appears to be basically a mapping of all object
   associations & class definitions.

   #4 makes sense, USER specific settings, some Innotek references to the FT2LIB,
   ODIN stuff, etc.

   Now, here is where the strange stuff (to me anyways) starts.

   #5 shows a bunch of entries which do not appear to be ENGLISH. All the final
   key
   values are usually: 'universe.smi', 'sheet.smi', 'formatng.smi', 'chart.smi',
   'map.smi', 'draw.smi', etc...what the heck are these? Where do they come from?

   Finally comes #6, where I see a bunch of Innotek stuff again (seems like a
   duplicate?).

   So...the real question is: can I safely delete these? Obviously the
   applications
   I have installed here have a huge bearing on this...so I'm not asking for a
   simple YES/NO. What I am curious is whether some of you have seen these,
   and/or
   whether anyone can explain from their experience what created these?

   Thanks!
