    Just take a look at FreeBSD. Snapshots are widely used and very common.   
   My plan is, to have freebsd as operatingsystem and vmware workstation for   
   virtualization. For this I need a much better board and cpu than now. My   
   ecomstation 2.1 runs on an gigabyte j1900 low energy board. With also very low   
   (cpu) power....
