   I googled it... followed what I could read on it and screwed things up   
   completely.  I found a better solution.... through the modem I can assign a   
   static IP and attach it to a MAC address.... worked like a charm.   
      
   I now have learned how to use my modem to setup any device with any OS and I   
   can assign any IP I want.
