   Good day Mark,

HG> Yes I know, I've had DSL before, and it used the same line.

   ml> i wasn't aware of that...

Well, that was more than four years ago.

ml> personally speaking, i wouldn't be using wifi... it is insecure,
ml> easily penetrated and highly suceptible to interference from
   ml> electrical sources...

I've had no problems since I started using it in december.
OTOH, I'm not connected except when I have to receive or send something.

AVG and ZoneAlarm are working in the background when the machines are on

ml> I won't even mention it being slower than wired or fiber...

I accept the speed I get on the 3G WiFi.

ml> i don't know what the cost of DSL is over there but my
ml> 3M/768k line is only $40US... that's copper for a mile or so where
ml> it connects into a DSLAM and jumps to fiber for the long haul...

I don't have the price list for DSL or fiber, but the SMALL WiFi costs
me about $16 US a month.

There are five classes, XSMALL, SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE 4G and XLARGE 4G.
   They differ in speed :2Mbit/s_Full 3G_Full 3G__Full 4G_____Full 4G
   and allowed data amount:250Mb__ 20Gb____50GB____100Gb_______Unlimited
The allowed data amount is per month.

ml> $40US a month for a hobby plus additional capabilities is much less
ml> than some people spend in a week on their hobbies...

Yes, but all depends on the thickness of your wallet.

   Have a nice day,

   Holger
