   Files for download on Internet!
   06 Apr 13 22:42:26

EJ>> I have setup a download box for old OS2 files from the past.

ml> nice! i'm glad to see that someone was able to keep K†re
    ml> Thor Olsen's archives online...

EJ> I was sad to hear the guy who had the archive online, want to close
EJ> the service. So I speak with him and get it over to my place :)

great! i hope you keep it online for a long time ;)

EJ>> Take a look and see if you can use some of them :)

    EJ>> The link is: http://files.teamos2.dk

    ml> TeamOS2! ;)

EJ> Yes my boss :) I run the teamos2.dk site from my own server.

ahhh... that's your site! i didn't know... i know of a few remaining ones and
some names involved with them but not all of who has what...

ml> BTW: i noticed your system marked as DOWN in the current
ml> nodelist... are you coming back online now?

EJ> The files download have been up and running all the time. It's
EJ> just my Fido-node have been down for some times :( I have changed
EJ> from Windows XP to Windows 7, but many of my Fidonet programs
EJ> can't run under Windows 7, so I have used some time to setup a new
EJ> pc with XP and the Fido software again :) I think I will only run
EJ> as PVT node, so I haven't to be online all time for incoming call,
EJ> and just poll my uplinks 1-2 times a week.

PVT is one option... then again, using the internet for the connection pathway
and binkd as the transfer mechanism, 24x7 shouldn't be a real problem... of
course, one can also leave out the CM/ICM flag from their nodelist entry and
they are ok... ZMH doesn't really pertain to internet connections and
especially with mailers and BBSes running on different ports and so no single
pathway blockage with users on the BBS preventing mail delivery ;)
