   Keep in mind that there were two different versions of DOS as that    
   operating system was a joint development with IBM developing one level,    
   MS the next and so on.     
      
   One also contained Basic and the other one didn't.  One was to run on    
   IBM-PCs and one was to run on all the rest.  Big mistake, IMHO.  Another    
   thing that hurt OS/2 was the confusion with PS/2.  Too many people    
   thought that was the only system OS2 would run on, yet, the main    
   difference was simply the channel architecture.  PC used the common bus    
   that was in the clones and PS/2 used Microchannel.   
      
     Excel was born on the Mac.  Windows 3.1 WAS
