   *You* are, apparently.

Nobody here considers Obama to be a "messiah." It's a symptom of your
overworked imagination that you think we *do*.

   > promised to have the budget deficit.

Yes. Before the full extent of G.W. Bush's depredations to the
economy were known. Those only came to light *after* Obama took
   office.

   ..

Most of that accrues to spending done by the Bush Administration. An
administration's fiscal policies overlap with the policies of a new
administration by as much as 3 years, in case you don't know. As huge
an economy as that of the U.S. doesn't screech to a halt in January
   every 4 years.

The fact remains, whatever your protestations, that Bush was handed a
*surplus*, which he managed to turn into an 11-trillion-dollar deficit
in a mere 8 years, with 2 unfunded wars, a huge tax cut, and a
giveaway to Big Pharma in the guise of a prescritpion drug benefit
   under Medicare D.

Obama has managed to *stop* the hemorrhage of jobs and turn around the
economy. Aside from the badly-needed stimulus - which was too small
by about 66% - he has actually spent quite abstemiously.

And where were *you*, my fiine friend, when G.W. Bush was running up
all that debt? Gleefully hoarding your tax break, is my guess.

Oh, I know you *think* you know what is actually happening. The
problem is that you think what you hear on Faux News is "truth."
