   edit your config.sys and change   
      
     CODEPAGE=850,437   
      
   to   
      
     CODEPAGE=437,850   
      
   i went thru the install process so many times that i finally found this during   
   that process and changed it to 437,850 there... the only thing i see that may   
   otherwise cause some sort of problems would be the tcpip nlspath which   
   specifically looks for the enus850 directory but that's the only one in my   
   setup so maybe it doesn't matter since i made the change during the install   
   and not afterwards as you are fixing to do ;)   
      
   i searched for 850 in my config.sys and those are the only two places i find   
   it...
