I was sent a concert program via email in PDF format, and the old
Adobe Acrobat 3.0 couldn't handle it. As I recall, the Innotek
Acrobat 5.0 couldn't handle it either. But Ghostscript could,
though the colors were different from the printed program.
Lucide, however, displayed the colors essentially indistinguishable
from the printed program. I got the impression that Lucide did it
right, and that Ghostscript was wrong. But I suppose it's possible
that whoever made the printed program used a PDF viewer that couldn't
handle the colors properly. I'll have to try and find out from the
person who designed the original cover art for the program and
created the PDF file. My guess is that it was all done on Windows
using Word to create the document and Acrobat to create the PDF, using
either Windows or a Mac, so the printed program probably has the right
colors, in which case, kudos to Lucide.
