   IMO, that statement is true. FAT32 is not only faster, it is much more   
   reliable when the cache is not used. I have an older laptop with Win98   
   installed. I use BackAgain/2000 (running under eCS) to back it up. If    
   I enable the cache, it will never make it all the way through without    
   hanging. There is no trouble, at all, when the cache is not used. I    
   also find that using FAT32 on a USB stick works MUCH better without    
   the cache. Unfortunately, FAT32 is rather slow, but it works well,    
   when I don't use the cache.
