   Does this also happen with the 10.162 drivers or not ? This is kind of strange   
   as the OS/2   
   USB drivers have not yet even loaded when you press Alt-F1. So there is nothing   
   that they could have possibly messed up at that point in time.   
   Of course, if os2\boot\config.x loads the drivers might come into play (I   
   think this config.sys   
   is used on Alt-F1 key press).   
   My assumption is that the host controllers are left in an inconsistent state   
   on last shutdown (THIS could well be the OS/2 drivers fault).   
   If you do not completely power down the system, this might remain this way   
   (I had problems on this system that I could only rectify by doing a complete   
   power off).   
      
   Can you make sure that you completely power down your system (turn it of with   
   the   
   power switch) and turn it back on. See if it is still the same problem.   
      
   By the way: are you using ACPI ? If yes, what version and with what switches ?
