   Hardware involved Asus M2N mainboard with nForce430/MCP61 chipset, 1 *    
   OHCI, 1 * EHCI controllers.   
      
   Using ACPI v3.18 with this config.sys line   
   PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /PIC   
      
   Having installed these drivers I rebooted and had no problems with the    
   few usb devices involved - mouse and a couple of drives. I will check    
   how my scanner performs when son brings it home in a day or 2.   
      
   I changed the PSD= line to PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC and rebooted. The    
   reboot seemed to get stuck on the eCS2 splash screen but eventually    
   (about 2 minutes) produced a Trap screen.   
      
   Would you like a copy of the trap screen? - if I can remember how to    
   capture it to floppy...
