I decided to disable DIVE support because of screen corruption
underneath the mouse pointer, with some degree of persistence
where mouse clicks occur. An example of the former would be
with selecting a bookmark. Moving the mouse down the list of
bookmarks, the item underneath the mouse pointer would be
highlighted, but an approximately square area directly underneath
the mouse pointer would not use the highlight color scheme.
Where mouse clicks occur, I'd see an approximately square area
of the screen with the contents of some other place on the screen
duplicated. Disabling DIVE support got rid of the problem.

   displays with 16 million colors.
