I'm the unnamed user mentioned in readme.txt who "reported success for
/APIC and /SMP". I can't thank Lars enough for his efforts.

I just put together a system with an Intel mobo/chipset/CPU and it all
worked great except for USB. It has are 6 UHCI (v1.1) and 2 EHCI (v2.0)
controllers, and of the 12 USB ports available, only 1 or 2 worked. I
mentioned this to Lars and Rdiger Ihle, they discussed it, and in a
couple of days, Lars came up with an implementation that fixed the problem.

I should mention that when I first switched to these drivers, the system
hung while executing one of the RUN= statements in config.sys. I rebooted
and haven't had a problem since then. I shared the package with someone
who has OHCI controllers, and he reported that his system also hung before
the WPS started. I asked him to try again in the hope that this is just
   a one-time occurrence.

If anyone reading this has USB problems, I'd encourage you to try these
   updates and report your results.
