   | Recently I have started to experience a sporadic problem of being
   | unable to start applications because of insufficient memory. These
   | errors have occurred even when my XCenter memory monitor shows as much
   | as 77MB of free memory. So I suspect that the memory that is
   | insufficient is a special kind of memory, perhaps shared memory.
   |
   | Recent software changes that may be contributing to this problem are:
   | - Boinc and Seti v6.x along with REXX utilities I've written to run
   | with them
   | - Firefox v4.0b8pre (2010-10-30)
   |
   | How do I go about
   | - Determining what memory is insufficient?
   | - Determining which software is responsible?
   | - Fixing the problem?
   |
   | I guess that Theseus might be what I need for the first two items. But
   | I do not understand enough about Theseus or about memory management in
   | OS/2 to have figured this out on my own.
   |
   | Any help will be greatly appreciated!
   |
   | P.S. My PC is an old system with "only" 256MB of RAM. (That was a lot
   | of RAM when I bought it!?)

OS/2 will run with 4Mb of RAM.

Have you tried going to DOS, and doing a DIR to see how much disc space
   you actually have ?
