Glad to hear you're fine. I was on the verge of jumping on a plane a few
days after the disaster but I'm still "at work" here in Tokyo. I keep up
to date with Kyodo and Reuters and a few people I know are monitoring
radiation levels and posting information in another group so I feel "safer"
than I did, but my suitcase is packed ready to go! It would be a shame to
have to leave my business behind.

We were issued with iodine tablets by the British embassy here, about the
only useful thing they've done for "the average person" here. But with all
the other medication I'm taking am loathe to take unless I really have to.

Had a stroke last summer so I'm on all kinds of stuff. Funny, had a CT scan,
MRI and neck X-Rays all within a few days of each other so I've had more
than my fair share of radiation already :-)

   Take care up there!
