   I knew that a fresh install of most Linux distros would do this if I    
   wasn't real careful about placing grub in /root, but I never imagined    
   an update of an existing install would do it.  And this T61 came from    
   Lenovo with just SLED 10 installed, so I had some experience with SLED   
   and OpenSUSE before.   I actually liked OpenSUSE, better then some    
   other versions, but I'm waiting to see someone say they had success    
   with coexisting with eCS before I try it again.
