I took a four-day vacation in Kansai about a week ago, but I'm back
in my usual haunts now. There are slightly elevated radiation levels
here (last several days have been averaging just under 2µSv/h), but I
did some quick-and-dirty math and figured that even if I took the very
worst reading and assumed constant exposure to that level of radiation
24 hours a day, it would still take months to receive even the equivalent
   of one CT scan.

Besides, I don't want to just take a hike from my job. If it's still
safe enough for everybody else living here, why not me?

That said, I'm still watching the situation closely. If the government
here ever does say "get out now" then I won't waste time arguing the
   point. :p
