I am finding that the write speed of the version 8 usbehcd.sys to be
an order of magnitude slower than the IBM driver. I am copying about
9G of files to a 700G NTFS formatted USB drive (via the netdrive
plugin). With the IBM drivers I have always found the throughput to
jump around alot... I have seen anywhere from 500K to 5000K with the
average at 1900K. With the version 8 driver I was getting very little
variance but it was running at 192K with peak at maybe 196K.
It took a long time to enumerate the drive as well (both the 700G HD
and an 8G flash drive were slow to enumerate) with the version 8
driver. I did patch the IBM driver for the fastest speed and set the
/S:64 which I presume to be the fastest setting.
