   The volume of complaints with Ubuntu may have more to do with it being   
   such a common Linux distro, rather than the problems being with Ubuntu   
   specifically.   
      
   That said, I think the most common complaint was that Ubuntu makes it   
   harder than usual to install GRUB to the boot partition (which is    
   necessary in order to play nice with Boot Manager) instead of to the    
   MBR.   
      
   Whatever Ubuntu uses for its partitioning software has also been    
   observed to do some very nasty things to the disk layout from OS/2's   
   perspective.  OTOH, that's always been something of a problem with   
   Linux-based partitioning tools, at least the ones which trace their   
   ancestry back to the old 'fdisk'.
