|    Lockup    |

From: tholen@antispam.ham              If one right-clicks on the OS/2 desktop, one of the options       presented is "Lockup now", which activates a screen and       keyboard lockup program that one can configure via the       Desktop Properties notebook. When activated, a bitmap       appears for a while, which then gets replaced by a       wandering padlock on an otherwise black background (when       the full screen option is selected).              What I would like to know is this: what can cause this       program to fail? Every now and then, my office computer       gets into a state such that when I select the "Lockup now"       item from the desktop context menu, absolutely nothing       happens. The only cure I've found is to reboot, which is       something I'd like to avoid, especially when I'm running       a long number cruncher in the background. If the failure       mode can be identified, maybe a cure other than rebooting       can also be identified.                     --- Internet Rex 2.31        * Origin: Aioe.org NNTP Server (1:261/20.999)    |
