   Thanks.

BTW, some people have expressed reservations about the "heaver" look of
version 0.8x compared to earlier versions. I made that change for a
number of reasons, not least of which was because it looked incredibly
washed-out and illegible at 96dpi under FreeType.

Some remarks about this seem in order... versions up to around 0.3 used
a 60upm (units per em) stroke width. Subsequent versions up until 0.7
inclusive changed this to 50upm. This looked great in Presentation Manager
at 9pt, but was barely legible when antialiased at small sizes, and very
   strange at large sizes.

Version 0.8 changed the "regular" width to 80upm, which is more or less
consistent with other regular-width fonts. This does have the effect of
making it look less like WarpSans, but does make it much more readable in
a wider range of circumstances. Besides, there's the bitmapped versions
now for people who want the WarpSans "look".

At the same time, I made a new "light" weight which is closer to the
0.7 style (back up to 60upm instead of 50). I also partially implemented
a "book" weight at 70upm just for comparison, but I never released that.

For the next major version (0.9?) I'm strongly considering making the
70upm version (Book) into the "regular" width, with some major design
improvements. I've got a test version working here and it looks pretty
good IMHO. Not sure if I'd continue maintaining the 80upm version or
not. I may also update the older 50upm width for the new styling and
make that available as well (as "Thin" or something).

Of course, if you use the bitmapped releases, all this is pretty much
   moot...
