   The inverse is true in my case... vertical motion is pretty much normal   
   but horizontal motion "jumps around like crazy", as you so aptly put it.   
      
   I'm using the last USBMOUSE.SYS from IBM (when using SMOUSE, that is).   
   If there's a "later" version that that publically available, I've never   
   found it.
