    NA> Renegade uses a proprietary format for storing messages and uses a

   Correct, Mystic doesn't toss in MSG format so if that is all ReneMail can   
   handle then it probably wouldn't work without some extra layer of software.   
      
   FidoNet uses PKT bundles and that is what Mystic tosses.   
      
   Mystic does do directory tossing though, so it can be a hub for any number of   
   other BBS software without requiring a mailer to run for any of them, but   
   those softwares still need to be able to support FidoNet (ie PKT files) which   
   Renegade doesn't.
