|    Origin of extra lines?    |

TID: Mystic BBS 1.12 A47       MSGID: 1:229/664 6f8363bd       TZUTC: -0400       Hi g00r00,              I'm not 100% sure, but I may have discovered the origin of the extra empty       lines being displayed in some messages.              I posted a message yesterday to HobbyNet and I remember it looking fine when I       posted it. It even looked fine when I came back to the message a few hours       later to press 'X' to download a copy of it.              When I came back to the message this morning, a mysterious extra blank line       appeared. The only thing that would have happened between that time would be       my nightly maintenance that runs, so I shut mis down and ran ./mutil maint.ini       and sure enough, a second empty line was added to the message:              https://ibb.co/BzNkvfr              Each subsequent run of ./mutil maint.ini will then add another empty line to       the message:              https://ibb.co/XX5pNLc       https://ibb.co/JdFY7gS              I believe it may be the PackMessageBases that's adding these lines as when I       ran ./mutil -run PurgeMessageBases another line was not added.              I run ./mutil maint.ini each night after shutting mis down (./mis shutdown and       then sleep for 15 seconds). My maint.ini includes:              PurgeMessageBases = true       PackMessageBases = true       PackFileBases = true       FileSort = true       LinkMessages = true       PurgeUserBase = true       PackUserBase = true                     For now I've set PackMessageBases to false, just to prevent more lines from       being added.              Let me know if you'd like me to zip up this JAM base & email it to you if       you'd like to play around with it.                     Jay              ... To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.              --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/08/29 (Raspberry Pi/32)        * Origin: Northern Realms (1:229/664)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 90/1 105/81 120/340 123/131 129/305 221/6 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 227/702 229/424 426 428 452 550 664 700 981 1017 240/5832       SEEN-BY: 249/206 307 317 400 282/1038 292/854 301/1 317/3 322/757       SEEN-BY: 342/200 633/280 770/1       PATH: 229/664 426           |
