   Yes if you jumped to 101 that would be your highest read message, so its doing   
   what its supposed to do.   
      
   You can set your current high read message with the H key...   
      
   So you could reply at 50, jump to 100, edit, jump back to 50 and press H to   
   set your high read message to 50 again.   
      
   I could make it so that it automatically resets your high read message when   
   you Jump to a lower message, and I think I might even like that better - but   
   because BBSes generally haven't worked that way I think doing so might end up   
   confusing people more than it helped.
