Sorry about that. Hopefully the Zombie movie was        DC> a hit .....              As I was watching Hostile (the first one above), I kept wondering when is the       porn-like stuff going to kick in (because you mentioned "borderline porn       movie"). LOL I was thinking "Doug has a pretty lame idea what porn is".              It turns out that Hostile was not entirely bad at all. The special effects of       the "creature" were amazing, although I thought that the CGI octupus beard on       Day Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest from waaay back in       2006 was pretty amazing. There is probably nothing the CGI can't accomplish       now.              Regarding "Hostile" (the first one above) you can tell the budget is a bit       limited. Not much locale variance. Lessor known actors. The story has a lot       of mystery: no complete idea why the apocalyptic scenario occurred. But if       you have a basic knowledge of what immunity or asymptomatic means, then it       doesn't really matter. The back story is a bit rushed, but it's enough to get       us to know the main character and her current situation. In the final scenes       I was thinking "they got it all wrong.. the violent scenes leading up to it       don't make sense!" But, they actually do. And here's why...(I'll put it in       ROT13 so that if you want to deliberately spoil it for yourself, you do it at       your own hand):              Vg erzvaqrq zr bs gur fyvpx yvggyr gevpx va Fvkgu Frafr, ohg vg'f abg n tubfg       fgbel. Jura Fvkgu Frafr vf bire, lbh'er guvaxvat gb lbhefrys "ubj qvq V zvff       gung gur Oehpr Jvyyvf punenpgre jnf n tubfg.. Ur jnf va gur fnzr ebbz jvgu gur       xvq naq uvf zbgure fb gur zbgure zhfg unir frra uvz gbb.. gurl svyzrq vg       jebat.." Ubfgvyr vf fvzvyne. Jura lbh guvax onpx ng fbzr bs gur qrgnvyf, lbh       ernyvmr vg QBRF znxr frafr.              So.. if you are in the mood for a horror flick that is not really a horror       flick, but is a fine cross between Sixth Sense, The Road, and a mix of drama       and romance (no porn!) ..then Hostile is a rather nice "lite" horror film.              Now.. Hostel (the torture porn film..) I'll pass.              I'm having too much fun watching Burn Notice. I'd like to live in that world a       little while longer during this pathetic covid19 time.              --- Thunderbird 2.0.0.24 (Windows/20100228)        * Origin: nntp://rbb.fidonet.fi - Lake Ylo - Finland (2:221/360.0)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 90/1 120/340 601 123/131 154/10 203/0 221/0 1 6 360       SEEN-BY: 226/16 30 227/114 702 229/101 424 426 664 1014 240/2100 5138       SEEN-BY: 240/5832 5853 249/206 317 400 280/464 5003 288/100 292/8125       SEEN-BY: 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 423/81 120 633/280       SEEN-BY: 770/1 2452/250 2454/119       PATH: 221/360 1 280/464 240/5832 229/426           |
