MSGID: 1:135/250@fidonet 68f3402c       PID: C-NET AMIGA BBS 5.36b        I am down to the last eppisode of SG 3.              I was not expecting much from Season 3, Season 2 was definately sub par       compared to Season 1, not just because we were all familiar with the format,       but it lacked a lot of what I felt was some of the darker elements and shock       of the first season. Which even for a Korean drama had some pretty good shock       moments.              Season 3 while not completely capturing it, did bring back the raw class       warfare, greed, and depravity of the human condition. The irony and sacrifice       of the mother / son sub plot of Guen-Ja and Yong-sik was interesting and heart       wrenching to see to its conclusion.               The dynamic of the baby being put into the games is also chilling, and is       intruiging to think about from being an outsider who has been able to view       Korean culture while living there for 14 years, and the drastic social changes       that have taken place just in that time span and their plummeting birthrate.        In a country that had in the past been a collective society and very mindful       of its future as a whole, and the importance of family. The younger       generation seems more focused on amassing wealth and security for themselves       and keeping up with the latest tech and fashion trends than tradition family       roles/values, and ultimately the continuation of their society.              Looking forward to watching the final eppisode.              Have you seen any of The Squid Games series? What are your thoughts?                             Rug Rat (Brent Hendricks)       Blog and Forums - www.catracing.org       IMAGE BBS! 3.0 - bbs.catracing.org 6400       C-Net Amiga BBS - bbs.catracing.org 6840       --- CNet/5        * Origin: The Rat's Den BBS (1:135/250)       SEEN-BY: 1/120 18/0 103/705 104/119 105/81 106/201 114/10 116/116       SEEN-BY: 120/302 616 123/0 25 126 180 525 755 3001 3002 4040 124/5016       SEEN-BY: 128/187 129/14 305 135/0 115 205 220 240 250 363 385 390       SEEN-BY: 135/391 153/757 7715 154/10 30 50 110 700 203/0 218/700 220/6       SEEN-BY: 220/20 30 90 221/0 6 222/2 226/18 30 44 50 227/114 229/110       SEEN-BY: 229/206 300 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 705 240/1120 5832       SEEN-BY: 250/1 263/1 266/512 280/464 5003 5006 291/111 292/8125 301/1       SEEN-BY: 310/31 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 342/200 396/45 423/120       SEEN-BY: 460/58 467/888 633/267 280 414 418 420 422 2744 712/848 1321       SEEN-BY: 770/1 902/26 2320/105 3634/0 12 24 27 56 57 58 60 5020/400       SEEN-BY: 5075/35       PATH: 135/250 115 3634/12 154/10 280/464 633/280 229/426           |
