-------------------------        - e-Ministries -        - by Jon Justvig -        - February 3, 2012 -        ------------------------------------------------------------------               Issue #: 10               We've studied the linage from Adam up to Enoch. We'll continue        our study from Genesis 5:19.               (KJV) Gen 5:19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred        years, and begat sons and daughters:               (KJV) Gen 5:20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty        and two years: and he died.               Nine hundred and two years is a very long time to live for anyone.        I wish I lived that long! Seriously, if we could maintain our        health that long and still be productive members of society, that        would be quite fascinating. Wouldn't it be interesting to        interact with members of our family from that long ago? There        would be so much we could learn from each other.               (KJV) Gen 5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat        Methuselah:               Are you still with me up to this point? There are a lot of names        and the families are so big. Now we have Methuselah. Can you        trace back all the way from the beginning with Adam? Here, I will        help you.               Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, and        Methuselah.               Are you enjoying it this far? I hope so. Let's continue on...               (KJV) Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat        Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons        and daughters:               (KJV) Gen 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty        and five years:               (KJV) Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God        took him.               Can you imagine that? Enoch did not have to suffer death. When        he walked with God, God had taken him to be with him because he        favored him. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could live and never        have to suffer death? Someday we will and it will be one of the        most awesome things we will do. We will live for eternity!               (KJV) Gen 5:25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven        years, and begat Lamech:               (KJV) Gen 5:26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven        hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and        daughters:               (KJV) Gen 5:27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred        sixty and nine years: and he died.               (KJV) Gen 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years,        and begat a son:               (KJV) Gen 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same        shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of        our hands, because of the ground which the Lord        hath cursed.               Since Cain killed Able, the blood from Able lead to God cursing        the ground we walk on. Men were forever cursed to work the        ground from morning until night. The Earth is about to change.        We will soon see!               (KJV) Gen 5:30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred        ninety and five years, and begat sons and        daughters:               (KJV) Gen 5:31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred        seventy and seven years: and he died.               (KJV) Gen 5:32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah        begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.               Just as you had thought the population was about to grow, now you        will see something spectacular happen the Earth and all the evil        it had consumed since day one when he created it. We will        conclude here and resume with chapter 6 in the coming weeks.               If you've enjoyed our meeting, remember to ask your SysOp to carry        MINISTER, an echo with FidoNet if he/she doesn't already. Remember        also to keep your head up high. May God bless you and keep you!               *** This conclude this issue of e-Ministries provided by Jon        Justvig.              --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag        * Origin: Nightfall Ordain (1:298/5)    |
