|    Temple of God    |

Temple of the Living God              Today we'll be discussing a little bit about the Temple of God and       what it is. Open up to 2 Corinthians Chapter 6, verse 14.              2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for       what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what       communion hath light with darkness?              What do you think this means? Unequally joked means in a sense like       one paddling a row boat with another person and one being slower than       another, thus going around in circles. We should, however, try to       lead those who are unbelievers and help bring them to Christ our       Lord. How might we do that? We can pray for them in our spiritual       walk. We can be kind and good, showing an example with our body that       there can be peace. You can often find yourself very early being       able to identify if someone has Jesus as their Lord. We're all born       with the ability to know what's right and what's wrong, regardless       of ethic background or religion. Have you noticed everyone has the       ability to laugh or to cry? It's the same way. We need to recongize       who we're spending and sharing our lives with. Earlier the better.       If we're surrounded by people that talk down on us, even when we're       trying to do our best, how is that beneficial for either of us.       What we think and who we allow in our lives can dramatically alter       our future. It's a lot, in my opinion, easier to pull someone down,       then it is to work and bring someone up. So keep that in mind.              2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath       he that believeth with an infidel?              Two total opposites here. Good and Evil. There will be no agreement       between the two. They are completely seperate, just as day and       night. Infidel, literally means, unfaithful in their own practices.       So, I would say, we must chose what is right and do what is right. By       searching our hearts and thinking it throughout our mind, there will       come an answer. It's so easily to be persuaded, especially in these       times. So be on guard. Continually pray in the spirit and accept God       for He loves us so much and to trust Him with everything you've got       that He will live in you and for you. God is Love and love comes       from God, because God first loved us.              2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for       ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell       in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be       my people.              There is a temple of God. It's the Holy of Holy's that lives on the       inside of us as we continue to seek the Kingdom of God. We should       be waking up every morning, thanking and praising Him for a new day,       that our sins have been forgiven and He has given us the opportunity       to bless others. So, treat your body as if you were Jesus and live       by His commands, just as He would want you to; to show an example.              2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,       saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive       you,       2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and       daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.              I think this in regards means seperate your flesh from your spirit.       The inner man, being your heart and the outer man being the world's       nature. When we turn from the world, the Lord will receive us just       the way we are. The more we study the Word of God and learn from it       the better our lives will be.              Well, that about wraps it up. I hope you have enjoyed what I have       shared with you. Enjoy your day. Remember to use your body       including your heart and mind to live for Jesus as best as you       possibly can. Direct your thoughts towards Him and He will keep you       free and our life at rest.       --- SBBSecho 3.00-Win32        * Origin: Stepping Stone BBS - telnet://vintagebbsing.com (1:298/25)    |
