TID: PX/Win v3.0pr5 PX96-0466M2       MSGID: 1:135/392 8fe3e3e1       TZUTC: -0500        Daryl asked --              > Makes you wonder if they got told to leave early, so you'd stay there.               Nope.        The first one had a medical condition he didn't tell anyone until it       kicked in the first week or so.        The second one was dumb as a box of rocks. Couldn't comprehend anything       and parking ain't rocket science. I mean if I can do it....        We've had some real winners sent to parking and many were members of the       Doofus family, which seems to grow by the day.        This guy made a Doofus seem smart and I nicknamed him Knucklehead.              > Even if you prepared a manual, you wonder how quick it'd take for them to       learn it.               That's why training is actually an on-going process. Always something       new to learn. After a while its mostly just sneaky little things we do.        I.E., regular violator for example. Parking can't link the car to       anyone. One day the violator leaves something in plain sight with their name,       student number, etc. Got ya.        One time we had a regular who owed over $1,000 in fines. Never could       find anything on her.        One day she parked in a pay lot while the central pay machine was being       worked on. It so happened trees in the area were being trimmed as well.        The woman parked under some trees.        The woman in the office working on the machine walked over, mentioned the       tree trimming and casually asked for her name and phone number in case she       might need to move. Got her. And she paid.              > I was raised "old school"...where "children should be seen and not heard;       and not speak unless spoken to -- then it was 'Yes/No Ma'am/Sir'".               We must have had the same parents!        Or graduates of parenting school.               > JM> I can't recall what I was writing about.       >        > That's why quoting in QWK Mail and email comes in handy. |
