     That is often common today.   
     Women, in general, like to be wooed, whether they admit it not, and like   
   to be chased (and not always chaste).  A guy is told no means no, and after   
   being told no once to stop, then the woman wonders why they are never asked   
   out again by the guy.

     And often they are first to judge someone else by their appearance.   
     I try to judge others by "the content of their character" but often times   
   their mere appearance is a big hurdle to get over.

     Agreed.   
     In my job I run into all sorts and conditions of people (the way they   
   dress, etc.) and have to see the person inside all that.   
     Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong.   
     Years ago the university was having some fund raiser and people giving   
   big bucks.   
     The then president had a scheme if someone gave Marshall some big bucks   
   they had their name inscribed on a brick which was placed in a certain area   
   on campus.   
     One time was such a ceremony and I doing traffic control.  I had a list   
   of people who who allowed to park in a certain area.   
     People drove up in Cadillac's, Mercedes, Lexuses, etc.  I would ask the   
   name, check the list and let them in.   
     This one fella drove up in a beat up old Chevy Lumnia, rumpled clothes   
   and so forth.  My first thought he wasn't getting on that lot.   
     I politely asked his name and found out he was the one who gave several   
   million dollars and was the guest of honour.

     That is often common.   
     We had a girl on campus who claimed this other student had raped her.   
     A police investigation was done and from the security camera video it   
   never happened when and where she said it did.  Neither person was seen at that   
   and other locations.   
     She eventually confesses she was mad at him about something and so   
   accused him of rape.  If not for a video record his life would have been   
   ruined.    
      
   > My advice is to get to know a lady first, so you can have a certain amount   
   of trust in her not to be a jackass game-player.   
      
     Absolutely.

     Also very true.

      when I was in my mid 60s I was helping parking's handyman work on the   
   pay lot machine. I'll call him Noah, (since that was his name), who was a   
   older John Candy type.  He was about my age.   
      With us was one of my minions named Chase in his early 20s.   
      Noah liked to look at the young ladies and make comments.    
      I said I didn't pay them much mind, they were young enough to be by   
   granddaughter.  Then added, "Now some hot young mama around 50 might get my   
   attention" and Chase thought that was hilarious.  At his age anyone over 40 was   
   OLD.
