That was back in '87 or so. . . now, they start at about $300/night, if you
want to keep out of skid row & those that rent by the hour.

Not eassy tyo find one under $500 that's 3 star or better (but is my job on
occasion -- I usually contact the head nurse at the local hospital, as they
know wghere family of patients stay, as hotels near hospitals tend to have
   lower rates)

I couldn't,. until he insisted, as I didn't weant anyone thinking I was making
a dirty deal with him in exchange for expensive food & a ride.

If a stranger was going to be kind, I couldn't just say no, but I typically
went for the cheapest meal I'd eat (cheeseburger & fries, usually), so I'm
digging into their limited(as irt is for all) money, as little as possible.

Sharing a mntel room was cool -- asd they came with two beds, & I would be
absolutely certain I wasn't dealing with a pedo before I grattefuly accepted
the offer to use the second bed.

   Remember Mike Tyson's rape defense?

His lawyer, basically, said: of COURSE he's going to poirk her atr 2 in rthe
morning (pointing out that she willingly went to his hotel room, obviously
   expecting to be roughly taken)

One comic added, when telling this tale, "He'd even pork ME at 2 in the
   morning!"

It'd be an easy defense to say thart a lot of homeless runaways trade food &
shelter for sex, so OBVIOUSLY? that's what I was doing. . .

I was NOT going to become anyone's statistic, period!

Statistics shows that people who have the most birthdays....
   .....live the longest.

   Old Statistics Teachers never die.
They just get mean. (I know ... just an average joke)

Statistics show that 1 out of 3 people in a relationship are unfaithful....
Now I just need to work out if that's my wife or my girlfriend.
