      TID: PX/Win v7.0 PX35-1248M       MSGID: 3:640/1115 58e892dd       TZUTC: -0700       I doubt any of us were around in 1921 (100 years ago) but here was the #1 song:              Al Jolson ÿ O-H-I-O (O-My! O!) Van & Schenck ÿ Ain't We Got Fun?              I'm sure you've heard it? It's easily found on YouTube, if you care to              In 1971 (more of us around then?) the #1 song was "Joy To The World" by Three       Dog        Night              I have the vinyl LP (& hundreds of others from '70s & late '60s, & some early       '80s. . .)              Thousands total, filing up one wall of my living room.              They ain't worth squat, being as they're in what I euphemistically call,       "previously        enjoyed condition" (oft-played & it shows)              Some Beatles covers were once used as backdrop in a local amateur play. (I       might've        chosen to go online, find the original mint looking photos of the covers &       print those, but        they wanted genuine aged copies, so there I was, & some Stones, too)              Three Dog Night hjas always been a favourite of mine; their "Black & White" is       my        favourite musical commentary on the pre-1964 state-sanctioned racism era.              What are your musical memories?              I love the era from '67 to '86 best, I'd say. . . Before was too bubble gum-y,       & after        became too new age-y & pop-y        --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v7.0        * Origin: EMS!BBS - FIDOnet - 3:640/1115 www.ems-bbs.com (3:640/1115)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 14/0 19/10 90/1 105/81 116/110 120/340 123/131 1970       SEEN-BY: 124/5016 129/305 153/757 154/10 203/0 221/0 1 6 360 226/30       SEEN-BY: 227/114 702 229/424 426 428 452 664 700 981 1017 240/1120       SEEN-BY: 240/2100 5138 5411 5824 5832 5853 249/206 307 317 400 261/38       SEEN-BY: 280/464 5003 282/1038 1061 1062 292/854 301/1 310/31 317/3       SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 340/900 342/200 396/45 423/81 120 633/280       SEEN-BY: 640/1115 1138 1157 1321 1384 712/848 770/1 2452/250 2454/119       PATH: 640/1115 1321 1384 221/1 280/464 240/5832 229/426           |
