LOL              Captain Underpants has been around for at least 15 years.              No matter.. You would certainly have heard of the above if you        had kids.                      >> The Harry Potter series are a staple;               JM> That I've heard of. Never read.              The books are not bad at all. The film, practically follows the        book scene by scene. It's fun quick read even for a grown-up.                      >> When there is an adaptation to a tv series, many people want to        >> get a head start (or get "more to the story") and read the        >> books.               JM> I know of fan fiction.              Fan fiction is something else. I was referring to adaptations        of books to film/tv.              When there is news of an adaption coming along, the interest        for the book version increases - quite a bit. For instance,        Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time is coming along to tv. The books        have already been redesigned with new covers and increased        prices. A new generation of people are therefore "discovering"        the series all over again.       --        ../|ug       --- OpenXP 5.0.50        * Origin: Time moves in one direction, memory in another. -WG- (2:221/1.58)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 14/0 18/200 30/0 80/1 90/1 103/705 105/81 120/340 123/131       SEEN-BY: 129/305 154/10 203/0 218/700 221/1 6 360 226/30 227/114 702       SEEN-BY: 229/101 424 426 428 452 700 981 1016 1017 240/1120 5832 249/206       SEEN-BY: 249/307 317 400 261/38 280/464 5003 282/464 1038 292/854       SEEN-BY: 301/0 1 101 113 123 317/3 322/757 335/364 341/66 342/200       SEEN-BY: 423/81 633/280 920/1 5020/1042 5058/104       PATH: 221/1 301/1 229/426           |
