   I think, the bigger problem was that in Germany, the people weren't ready     
   yet for a democracy.   
   Many believed the "fake news" that especially the right-wing parties     
   propagated that the Versailles treaty was soooo bad to Germany.   
   And yes, it wasn't nice, but this really was a bad war and we lost it -     
   and there is a price to pay for that.   
   And in the 1920s, many regulations of that treaty have been lifted and     
   have been made easier for Germany.   
   But it was really a unstable time...

   Yep. Many germans saw France as a kind of "sworn enemy"...
