   Joe,

    > To me, a meal isn't a meal without dessert

JM> I often use the old tag line "Life is uncertain. Eat dessert
    JM> first".

    That's the real appetizer.

    > So, please excuse me while I go make a banana split.

JM> May I have one as well?

Only if you promise to wash the dishes (there's a lot back there) .

JM> There's a drug store in a nearby town that reopened its soda fountain
JM> a few years ago and actually making more money from it than from drugs.
JM> One time I ordered a banana split and the soda jerk and watched
JM> across the marble counter as it was created.

There used to be a place in south Florida called Zips -- it's slogam was
"Make Your Own Sundae". I saw some videos on the internet with the
Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor. The original one went out of business, due to
business practices, but they combined one store with another business (I
think a confectionary/candy/sweets store), and it is doing much better.

They had one in the Hialeah, Florida area over 40 years ago.

JM> At one point the fella picked up one of those yellow plastic mustard
JM> containers and put that on, then got a red ketchup bottle and did the
JM> same. I was beginning to wonder who taught him to make a banana split,
    JM> the Three Stooges?

I would say so...you were a victim of coicumstance.

JM> But the yellow was caramel and the red strawberry syrup.

I can't eat caramel deals anymore...they pull my dentures out. They fit
so perfectly, that I haven't had to use any PoliGrip, Fixodent, etc. I
don't need help to remove them, thank you.

    > ... The Weather Is Here...Wish You Were Beautiful.

    JM> And also with you.

Remember...beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone. And,
you've seen me...at least you didn't lose your lunch over my looks.

   Daryl

... If I got the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
