The other two sound like subs.               They were. I had my first hoagie (submarine sandwich) on a submarine at        the former Naval Air Station in Key West over 50 years ago.               > ... Floggings will continue until morale improves.               JM> Old Navy saying, I use at work from time to time.               It keeps them in line, though. :P               JM> Back to Pearl Harbour a minute.        JM> I recall a line in the old Barney Miller show where Yamoto (Jack        JM> Soo, the Japanese cop) was being kidded about being a pilot there in        JM> the Japanese Navy and asked what he thought about that.        JM> He replied, "It seemed like a good idea at the time".        JM> (These lines would never make it on tv today).               No kidding. No one has a sense of humor anymore.               It's like my brother...he turned 59 today, but after he snubbed me a       couple of weeks ago (and chewed me out) over the birthday card I gave       him, I didn't even bother.               It was a backside sketch from the middle back, down to the middle thigh,       of a woman and a man...both butt cheeks and the cracks in all their glory       (we are the same from the back side). On the inside, it noted "Thought you       could expect some cracks about your age"...and I added "Every booty wanted       you to have a happy birthday -- bun appetit!!". He growled "that was uncalled       for!!". I wanted to tell him to "Get A Life!!".               As Roger Rabbit says, "if you don't have a sense of humor, you're better       off dead!!". That's why I keep bringing up the story of 3 blind ham radio       operators having to direct me out of a hamfest parking lot, and out of a       hospital parking deck...because I *CAN* laugh at myself.              Daryl              ... There is more to life than increasing speed.       === MultiMail/Win v0.52       --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32        * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (1:19/33)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 18/200 19/25 33 38 50 90/1 105/81 106/101 633 987 120/340       SEEN-BY: 123/131 124/5014 5016 130/803 154/10 203/0 221/0 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 227/702 229/101 424 426 452 664 981 1016 240/1120 2100 5138       SEEN-BY: 240/5411 5824 5832 5853 249/206 307 317 400 261/38 280/464       SEEN-BY: 280/5003 288/100 292/854 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200       SEEN-BY: 387/25 396/45 423/120 633/280 712/848 770/1 2452/250 2454/119       PATH: 19/33 396/45 280/464 240/5832 229/426           |
