I'm running Linux Mint 9 in a VirtualBox machine and have been setting up MBSE   
   as well.  I run PcBoard in another VirtualBox machine and would like to   
   convert to MBSE at some point.  I can't, however, figure out how to open a   
   telnet port to the BBS.   
      
   If I type "telnet localhost", I'm told that there are no authorized ports,   
   etc. I have my PcBoard all setup for telnet purposes so I'm familiar with the   
   process; just not in Linux.  Thanks.
