       Well, it's not considered "unstable", it's considered "testing"...   
      
       Debian has three current repositories online;  stable, testing, &    
   unstable.   
   All have code names, though the one for "unstable" (sid) doesn't change.    
   Normal process is that new packages are uploaded to unstable, then after a    
   time   
    they're allowed to move to testing.  Right now, though, they're in a 'deep   
   freeze' and only packages with bug fixes for release critical bugs are being   
   allowed in to testing, so it's not changeing much...
