   1 - Centos (wont say what ver, but it's very current)   
   2 - Very, that was one of the things I did.   
      
      
   Since upping the open file's limit, I've not ran into this problem. It's now    
   aproaching a 4 weeks, and   
   the system has been operating as it should.
