   In reference to previous msg to Michael.   
      
   What character sets are you using both at the system level as LANG etc as in   
   mbse when using english?   
      
      
   Over the last 2-3 years mine now has whiched to using UTF-8 which is causing    
   me   
   some problems and I really do not know why I need 2 byte characters, after all   
   the UK is hardly a country (using english) that needs it.   
      
   I can understand it's used for Chiness, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew etc but not   
   english (Unless I am missing some important point).
