        It is an issue with the Environment;  I don't recall why, but when I ran   
   across this issue I found that the LOGNAME environment variable was changed to   
   root instead of staying as mbse.  There are likely other ways of dealing with   
   this, but just manually changed it to mbse and was able to run the 'make   
   install' with no other problem...
